Silver Award

The Silver Award is the highest award that a Cadette Girl Scout (grades 6-8) can earn. It is a 50 hour service project that is approved at the coucil level. The Silver award can be earned by a single Girl Scout, small group of Girl Scouts. Each Girl Scout must contribute 50 hours to her part of the project.

To earn the Silver Award, a Girl Scout must complete a Cadette Journey, then identify an issue that’s important to her, develop it and carry it out to completion. She must lead a team of at least 2 unrelated people to complete her project. It must be sustainable and benefit the community.
